The Bartlett Arboretum will celebrate its 100th anniversary by honoring the grandson of founder Dr. Francis A. Bartlett and his wife Kate.
The Centennial Celebration, which will be held under the tent on the Arboretum's Great Lawn, will be a return to a Bartlett tradition, Arbor*Eating. Several local restaurants will provide delectable tastings for the event. to "adopt" 100 new trees which will replace those damaged by Hurricane Sandy and
other storms as well as add new arboreal treasures to the collections. Tree species, placement and naming rights will
be based upon the level of each sponsor’s contribution

Gene Wilder, Lori and Frank Mercede and Tom Rich and Suzanne Van Nostrand. The committee chairs are Robin Seldin,
Patricia Eggert and Jeanne Blandford.

Proceeds from the Centennial Celebration and other events
enable Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens to offer outstanding educational
opportunities for people of all ages including every second grade student
attending Stamford Public Schools. The Bartlett Arboretum also serves at-risk inner city children through both onsite and outreach initiatives and is known
for its adult education programs in both Spanish and English. Additionally,
Certified Master Gardeners offer the seasonal, Monday – Thursday plant clinic
for gardeners during the summer months.
