Free Informative and Entertaining Event for Families Whose Children Struggle in School

Join us to hear Jovan Haye, former-NFL defensive tackle, along with LeDerick R. Horne, national disability advocate as they share their stories of overcoming learning challenges.

Jovan will talk about his struggles with school because of reading challenges, overcoming a childhood with limited resources, and how sports and a caring teacher transformed his life – leading to a 7-year stint in the NFL followed by a career as a successful entrepreneur.

As a child, LeDerick believed he did not have much of a future despite being classified as neurologically impaired in the third grade, LeDerick has become a successful spoken word poet, playwright, motivational speaker, entrepreneur and advocate. Using his gift for spoken word poetry as a teaching tool, LeDerick has been recognized across the country as a motivational speaker and advocate for people with disabilities.

Jovan and LeDerick will join, Marc Hoffman, parents, students, and learning experts to speak about how to make school a more rewarding experience for all children who have difficulty academically – whether or not they have been identified for special education services.
