An Evening with Amy Grant

Amy Grant, winner of 6 Grammy Awards and the best-selling Contemporary Christian artist of all time, has built a long, successful career on music that matters. Ever since she burst on the scene as a fresh-faced teenager, the Nashville native gained a reputation for creating potent songs that examined life’s complexities with an open heart and keen eye. She became the first artist in Christian music to have a platinum record and went on to become a crossover sensation, her musical gifts transcending genre boundaries to make her a household name with hits like Baby, Baby and The Next Time I Fall with Peter Cetera.

Grant released her first album in 10 years in May 2013, How Mercy Looks From Here. The album features collaborations with a veritable Who’s Who of music – James Taylor, Carole King, Sheryl Crowe, Vince Gill, among others. Amy’s mother, to whom the album is dedicated, passed away in April 2011. One of the last things she told her was to “Sing something that matters,” a mantra that guided Grant as she recorded How Mercy Looks From Here.
