Tuesday Stamford's Last Chance to Register Prior to Election Day

If you want to register to vote before going through the hassle of trying to vote through the day-of registration process, residents must register in-person tomorrow at their Stamford Registrar of Voter's office.

The Democratic and Republican registrars are located on the 6th floor of the Stamford Government Center. They will remain open until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
According to Connecticut Secretary of the State Denise W. Merrill, this is the first year residents in the state will be able to participate in the day-of election process:

"Connecticut now offers Election Day Registration. If you miss the deadline for registering for an election, you can register and vote in person on Election Day at your town’s Election Day Registration location. Contact your local registrars of voters for information about location, hours of operation, and ID requirements," according to Merrill's website.

To vote on Nov. 5, residents would need to arrive at the registrars office to cast their ballot. Tuesday's in-person registration will be the final opportunity for voters to register prior to the in-person voting on Nov. 5.

Absentee ballots can also be cast at the Town Clerk's Office from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the first floor of the Stamford Government Center during normal business days through election day.
