Stamford Gears Up to 'Get Out The Vote'

Let the countdown begin, it's the home stretch before election day in Stamford.

Stamford Achieves announced this week a Public Service Announcement produced with the help of Stamford Public School students. In the video, students are seen asking citizens to make sure they got out and voted on Nov. 5 and have their voices heard, since the students themselves can't yet vote.

The Get Out The Vote (GOTV) PSA was produced by two graduates of the Academy of Information Technology & Engineering (AITE) in Stamford, and features several students from Stamford Public Schools.

"This video is a call to action," said Andy Sklover, Director of Advocacy and Education for Stamford Achieves. "It's an appeal to voters to exercise their right to vote, and help Stamford Public School students get what they deserve, which is a terrific education."
