Yorktown Man Charged with Drug Possession, Stripping in Public

A Yorktown man found shirtless and reportedly stripping moments earlier according to witnesses told police he was just getting dressed for work.

A Yorktown man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after police were called to the area of Washington Blvd. and N. State St. for reports of a man taking all his clothes off in the street, police reported Thursday afternoon. 

Hoffman A. Curtis, 35, of Walker Dr., told police he was only getting changed for work, according to authorities. Police reported Curtis was sitting on a bench with his shirt off and pants unbuttoned when they arrived.

A witness on scene said Curtis had been completely naked at one point, police said.

An EMS was asked to respond to the scene as Curtis seemed to be in an altered state of mind, police said. At one point, Curtis was discovered to be in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia as police were questioning him.

Curtis faces charges of brezch of peace, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of narcotics and failure to keep narcotics in proper containers.He was detained on a $5,000 bond.

Other Arrests

Roel Dominguez, 27, of Madison Pl., was charged Wednesday evening with assault and risk of injury to a child.

Amanda Jovita Green, 25, of Soundview Ave., was charged Wednesday morning with failure to appear.

Bianca Ronchelle Lane, 23, of Lenox Ave. in Bridgeport, was charged with violation of probation.

Juan Pablo Mendez, 45, of Dolsen Pl., was charged Wednesday morning with breach of peace and interfering with an officer.

Nidia Margarita Richardson, 26, of Archer St. in the Bronx, was charged  Wednesday afternoon with failure to appear.

Gustavo Rodriguez-Barrales, 35, of Smith St. in Portchester, was charged early Wednesday morning with illegal operation of a motor vehicle while suspended and failure to turn on headlamps.

Cheryll Michelle Wiener, 28, of Willowbrook Ave., was charged Wednesday morning with illegally obtaining drugs and obtaining controlled drug fraud.
