Wilton High Coach Resigns; Motorcyclist Dies in Fairfield Car Collision

FAIRFIELD: A at around 11 p.m. Thursday night near the intersection of Black Rock Turnpike and Congress Street has died. According to Sgt. Suzanne Lussier, the operator of the motorcycle was a 25-year-old male from Massachusetts. He suffered severe injuries in a collision with a car driven by a Fairfield woman, who sustained only minor injuries.

NORWALK: A change in their payment schedule may be the reason for the more than Thursday night for the midnight shift. Officers will now get paid every other week, a revised schedule that will be implemented December 1, as the result of a new police contract approved last month by the Norwalk Police Union Local 1727.

WESTPORT: Westport mom and freelance writer Christy Colasurdo told Patch that her idea to start , came as a surprise to her. "One day we were talking about it, six months later, we were a real company," she said. The business, which started in her hometown and then spread across the county, is now expanding to Wellesley, Massachusetts.

WILTON: Scott Neumann, a girls soccer coach and gym teacher at Wilton High School who was placed on administrative leave on Wednesday pending an investigation by school officials, effective immediately. According to officials, the school has begun the search for Neumann's replacement.
