The Stamford softball team (10-6) can clinch a spot in the FCIAC playoffs on Wednesday with a victory at town rival Trinity Catholic.

With two games left in the regular season, the Black Knights are tied for sixth with Wilton (10-6) and Fairfield Warde (10-6), one game ahead of Staples (9-7).

A win Wednesday will give the Black Knights a head-to-head sweep against Wilton, Warde and Staples.

Boys lacrosse

Stamford 17, Immaculate 12 -- Kyle Murray  had seven points on five goals and two assists for the Black Knights while Preter O'Connor added three goals.

Westhill 13, Fairfield Warde 3 -- Lukas Znosko had four goals and two assists for the Vikings while Kyle Sturrock and Doug Graves each added two goals and two assists.
