With the selection of smartphones, tablets and e-readers widening each year, gadget lovers all over the world were waiting with bated breath to see if their loved ones granted them with the latest iPhone, Nook e-reader or Android smartphone on Dec. 25.
If you happen to be one of the lucky recipients of one of these high-tech gadgets, which one did you get for Christmas? And tell us in the comments which features and apps you're looking forward to using the most.
And be sure not to forget that Patch has apps for iPhones and Android phones that make it incredibly easy for you to stay connected.
What a great idea, thanks for letting us know!
Detached non-liberal, so enmeshed in hatred, that people who want to help people in ghana (or bridgeport or appalachia) need to take crap from some jerk who didnt donate a buck anyway. Start your own cause, --and then maybe some punk will take you to task? Cool man. Whatever.
Every man is guilty of all the good he did not do. Voltaire
nice rant. Like I say, if you want to start a foundation to help appalachia, feel free. It requires work, dedication, and some organization. I dont think you are right to bash these people who have found a cause they want to help. Because these people want to help people in Ghana doesnt force you to donate, nor does it exclude your ability to donate to the ones you believe in. Its a ridiculous posture to rank on people who are trying to help others, simply because you were so incredibly smart and were able to identify needs in this country as well. Go ahead donate your phone to west va. ???????? jeez
Here's an idea. If you feel strongly about helping kids in Appalachia, rather than Ghana, that's great. Why do YOU do something with your boundless energy, enthusiasm, and clear abilities to positively influence and lead people towards a goal, and take the lead in developing a plan to get that done? Or is your role in life simply to criticize the actions of others, anonymously, by computer, while not having to actually do anything productive yourself? (Great management technique: When a complainer complains about something not being done, put them in charge of getting it done. Either they act, and get it done, or they do nothing, and hopefully shut up. Which will be the case here?)
I saw a show on the people in Appalachia, man do they have it bad, a huge portion of them are on Meth, a huge portion of them are toothless due to drinking massive amounts of MT Dew (for some reason) they even showed a woman who was giving her baby MT Dew in its bottle.. Imagine? it got so bad Coca Cola (or is it Pepsi?) even sent a bunch of Dentists out there to help with thier teeth!! School? forget about it, most of the kids live too far away and have no rides or ways to get there..they profiled a girl who lived with the Meth head momma and had to walk 7 miles to school every day and actually graduated and is now going to go to college!! it was very interesting to see.
