Fighter Jets Intercept Two Planes After Entering Obama Airspace

Two planes entered a no-fly-zone Monday and one was forced to land at a local airport.

Multiple F-15 fighter jets intercepted two small planes in Connecticut and New York Monday after they interfered with President Obama’s airspace , according to a report in USA Today.

Obama was at about 5:15 p.m. Monday. A pack of four marine helicopters were in the convoy.

The first breach of restricted airspace occurred at about 7 p.m. over Long Island, according to the North American Aerospace Defense Command. A fighter jet tailed the plane until it landed at a local airport, where authorities were waiting.

The second incident was at 7:30 p.m. near New Haven, according to NORAD. Authorities allowed that plane to continue to its destination.
