The Stamford family who lost a 12-year-old boy named Rashad Gross could use some assistance handling the bills during this tough time, and the Stamford community is being asked to lend a hand to one of their own. Details can be found here.

In Local Resident Highlights, Stamford's own Maria Scrivan, a cartoonist, was featured all week as the guest cartoonist for the nationally-carried Rhymes with Orange comic strip. And Stamford mom, kettlebell instructor, humanitarian and dancer Robyn Bova made the cover of Healthy Life CT magazine. Congrats to both!

The Stamford Professional Fire Fighters came out swinging against the appointment of Scott Mirkin to the position of Fire Commissioner, both with a statement to the public and in an open letter to the Stamford Board of Representatives

Stamford sports star Allyson Rioux was inducted posthumously this week into the Fairfield County Sports Hall of Fame for her accomplishments as a triple-threat athlete in high school and achievements in her softball career until she was 27-years-old and lost to an inoperable brain tumor.
