Local 5 Star Amazon Author Donates Partial Proceeds To The Philippine Red Cross

Connecticut Author, C.D. Holmes Miller shares partial proceeds of her newly published memoir, Black Coral: A Daughter's Apology To Her Asian Island Mother to the Philippine Red Cross.

"Black Coral not only serves as a record of one mixed-raced Filipina American's experience, but as testimony that proactively connecting with your roots in the Philippines can be one of the most fulfilling experiences of your life; and that starting your journey toward that self-actualization is never too late," Steven Raga, Pilipino American Unity For Progress and National Federation of Filipino American Associations.

Raga's commentary challenges C.D. Holmes Miller to fully embrace her Filipino heritage as his reflections appear in her newly published memoir, "Black Coral: A Daughter's Apology To Her Asian Island Mother."  She has found away to immediately connect and respond to Raga's urgent call.

Miller's memoir is already a 5 Star Amazon hit, and is being sited as a compelling page turner reader's can't put down!  Her story reveals the mystery of her hidden Philippine Heritage and how a life long search since WWI finally unearths her Filipino family both in the Philippines and in America.

C.D. Holmes Miller is also known to our Connecticut community as The Reverend Dr. Cheryl D. Miller, Senior Minister of the North Stamford Congregational Church. Embracing Raga's challenge to fully embrace her Filipino heritage, she is donating $1 proceeds from everyone who downloads Black Coral and reads her amazing story. Miller is sending her donations to the Philippine Red Cross and the disaster relief efforts of the United Church of Christ.

"I may not have grown up with my family but I am growing older with them," Miller is inspired to share in the relief intiatives for those who have suffered great loss due to the Super Typhoon Haiyan Yolanda.  #Philippines #ReliefPH #YolandaReliefPH
