Innovative Network Solutions and Football Legend Boomer Esiason Unite for Cystic Fibrosis Advocacy

Stamford, CT -- Innovative Network Solutions Corp. (INSC), a leading Stamford, CT-based IT firm, and football legend Boomer Esiason of the Boomer Esiason Foundation (http://www.esiason.org/), are proud to announce the launch of GenietheGene.com - a new educational character launched as an online comic book that aims to help children, who are battling cystic fibrosis, with easy to understand answers.

“Genie the Gene is the latest addition to Mr. Esiason’s crusade against cystic fibrosis,” says Mike Dolce, head of Innovative App Solutions, the web development arm of the INSC brand, who was instrumental in the creation of the Genie the Gene website.

“Boomer became a passionate advocate for patients of cystic fibrosis when his own son, Gunnar Esiason, was diagnosed with the fatal disease at age two.”

Boomer Esiason has a long and storied professional career playing for the likes of the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Jets, and Arizona Cardinals.  After retiring he became an analyst full time and can currently be seen on CBS Sports on The NFL Today, and the Boomer and Carton sports talk radio, New York.

As the concerned father of a child with cystic fibrosis, Boomer also went on to found The Boomer Esiason Foundation, self described as: ”a dynamic partnership of leaders in the medical and business communities joining with a committed core of volunteers to heighten awareness, education and quality of life for those affected by cystic fibrosis, while providing financial support to research aimed at finding a cure.”

It was the Foundation’s commitment to educating children about cystic fibrosis that resulted in the creation of Genie the Gene, a comic book featuring beloved characters that talk not only about CF, but also about the importance of exercise and nutrition.

Innovative App Solutions worked with Esiason, and Genie the Gene co-creator Darren Sanchez, for approximately six months on the website from the very first discovery session. The firm then went on to create a beta launch for the site in August 2013, and orchestrated a full launch in October of that same year featuring all of the content available today at GenietheGene.com.

“We are honored to have been able to team up with such a high profile client for such a good cause,” says Dolce.
