ZAZA Receives 'Don't Miss' Rating from NY Times

Reviewer Patricia Brooks praised the downtown restaurant's menu, service and atmosphere.

The New York Times recently gave Italian gastrobar in downtown Stamford a "Don't Miss" rating.

After visiting the restaurant, Patricia Brooks described it as having "great variety on the menu, an upbeat staff, moderate prices and a perfect location for business lunches, after-work drinks and tapas or a full meal in lively surroundings."

Back in January, Patch about ZAZA's impending opening.

"Stamford has a fun and vibrant scene, different from other parts of Fairfield County," Racanelli, Jr., who grew up in Stamford, told Patch. "It's a younger, more hip crowd looking to pair off great food with their social life."

Six months later, and Patch restaurant reviewer Valerie L.S. Albarda lauded the restaurant's brick-oven pizza, Italian tapas and appealing atmosphere.

"The look of ZAZA is neat and clean without being sterile and a crimson hue is seen throughout the room," she wrote. "It’s sexy without flaunting it."
