Inexpensive lunches, more vegetarian options than anyplace else, and fresh ingredients make Navaratna Vegetarian Indian Cuisine one of the best. The dosas, thin rice and lentil crepes, come highly recommended.

Authentic Peruvian cuisine right downtown. Fiesta Atlantic offers a bounty of unique seafood dishes and other unique meals including chaufa de pollo (Peruvian chicken fried rice) and arroz con mariscos (a Peruvian version of paella).

Huge portions, flavorful curries, and plenty of the veggie-laden noodle dishes that fans of Thai food would expect. Get it to-go or enjoy their small dining area. While it is close to High Ridge Road, the outdoor patio space isn’t nearly as loud as you would expect.

A spicy fusion of Indian food and Chinese food (said to be the creation of a small Chinese community that’s lived in Calcutta for over a century) makes for an experience all its own. Chicken lollypop and masala cauliflower get top reviews.

Stamford’s destination for Middle Eastern cuisine offers delicious options including falafel, hummus, shawarma, and, of course, tabouli. Sablach, an Israeli street food consisting of a pita filled with hummus, grilled eggplant, hard-boiled egg, Israeli salad, and tahina, is another favorite.
