Firefighter's Shopping Night

In honor of the Ridgefield firefighters’ dedication, bravery, and volunteerism—and for placing first in Fairway’s Firefighter Food Face-Off in July, Fairway Market is hosting a Shopping Night on Thursday, October 20th  from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Stamford store (699 Canal Street) with 10% of all sales going to Ridgefield Social Services at the firefighters’ request.

The Ridgefield firefighters beat out grillers from three other Fairfield County teams in Fairway’s Firefighter Food Face-Off on July 25th. The winning team included David Dachinger, Drew Loya, Nick Paparosky, Mickey Grasso, Tony Cerulli, and Ray Nobes, and they won a $500 gift card to shop at Fairway, plus they were able to select the good cause that will receive the 10% of proceeds from the Shopping Night. Always thinking about their community, they were delighted that they could assist Ridgefield in this additional way through an event that provides long-term benefits to the public with a helpful donation.

Fairway Market has a longstanding commitment to firefighters, exemplified after the 9/11 tragedy, when Fairway adopted local firehouses and supplied food for them throughout the search and clean-up process. In addition to the Firefighter Food Face-Off events, firefighters receive a shopping discount at Fairway’s eight locations.
