Daymon Worldwide Donates Bikes to Stamford Boys & Girls Club

The company donated hand-built bikes donated by 50 human resources associated from around the globe.

The Boys & Girls Club of Stamford received a surprise donation this week from Daymon Worldwide, a global retail branding and servicing company, the groups jointly announced Thursday afternoon.

More than 50 worldwide employees from Daymon's Global Human Resources Summit hand-built the donated bikes from the ground up just in time for Spring.

Representatives from Cos Cob's Dave's Cycles inspected the bikes for road safety standards. The Daymon associated were surprised, in turn, by a visit from five Boys & Girls Club kids who joined the associated to accept the bikes. Helmets and locks were also made available.

"It was an incredibly rewarding experience for our human resources associates to learn more about elevating their team building skills in a way that benefits local kids in need," says Tami Polmanteer, Daymon Worldwide’s Chief Human Resources Officer.  "Seeing the look of joy on the kids’ faces made it one of the most meaningful activities we’ve done as a global HR group.  We hope those kids have a wonderful time with their new bikes."
