According to the Daily Meal, Colony Pizza's Sausage Pizza is pretty good - qualitatively, they say it's the 27th best pizza in the nation!
The Stamford bar and pizza joint came in at 27th on the Top 101 bet pizza places in the country. They claim Colony Grill "has long been notorious for its no-frills demeanor, no-special-options policy, and for not making exceptions," but said that reputation has been slipping recently with specialty attempts like the the special Corned Beef and Cabbage Pizza for St. Patrick's Day or the current "Salad Pizza" they have currently available for a limited time.
Additionally, four other Connecticut restaurants were honored for serving among the best 101 pizzas in America. Specifically, Alforno of Old Saybrook's Margherita pizza was named the 68th-best pizza in the USA, Modern Apizza of New Haven's Italian Bomb was ranked as the 11th-best pizza in America, Sally's Apizza of New Haven's Tomato Pie was named 7th and coming in at the top of the list was Frank Pepe’s in New Haven for their White Clam Pie.
