Stamford boasts restaurants to fit any budget — this week, Patch Picks is here with some of our choices for a meal that’s a great value and a great time.

Their platters—kabobs or shawarmas served with two warm pitas, middle eastern salad, hummus, and rice—all come in under $15.  Many sandwiches and salads, including their delicious falafel salad, come in well under $10, making them perfect for a little something different at lunch.

This little gem has huge menu of paninis, wraps, quesadillas, and salads all under $10. Lots of shareable appetizers are also well priced. All coffee drinks are half-priced during “coffee happy hour” on weekdays from 2:30-4:30 and their mimosas are always just $2.50.

Judging by the portion sizes, this may very well be two cheap meals in one. The Fish and Chips (or Shrimp and Chips or Chicken and Chips) may not get points as a particularly healthy dining option, but it sure is a delicious indulgence when you’re craving fried food or the British classic. Try a ginger beer and you still won’t be anywhere close to breaking the bank.

This local chain boasts some very affordable options. Mexican pizzas, gigantic burritos, and a variety of platters are all well under $10. At $5.49, adding a Sierra Salad (served in a tortilla shell) is a must. Don’t forget a trip to the salsa bar!

Sushi X

For $20, enjoy all-you-can eat sushi — but also unlimited sashimi, appetizers and dishes from the kitchen, dessert, and green tea.  A serious bargain for great sushi including plenty of imaginative special rolls — plus there are plenty of options for dinner partners who prefer to err on the side of cooked entrees.
