Stamford Navy SEAL Will Be Added to State Capitol Wall of Honor

Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer Brian R. Bill, 31, of Stamford, will be added alongside 5 others to the wall honoring fallen military personnel from the state.

A Navy SEAL form Stamford will be added to the Wall of Honor in Hartford for his service and ultimate sacrifice on May 24th, 2012, the Governor's Office announced Thursday.

Chief Petty Officer Brian R. Bill, 31, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2011, will be added to the wall, which was dedicated to the heroes of the U.S. military in 2007.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony, scheduled for 4 p.m. in the Atrium of the Legislative Office Building, 300 Capitol Ave., Hartford. Members from the familes of 56 other fallen service members are expected to attend as well.

The five additional new honorees being added are as follows:

Army Spec. Richard C. Emmons, 22, of North Granby. (2011)

Army Pfc. Eric D. Soufrine, 20, of Woodbridge. (2011)

Army Sgt. Edward J. Frank II, 26, of Hartford. (2011)

Army Staff Sgt. Ari R. Cullers, 28, of Waterford. (2011)

Army Spec. Dennis Pratt, 34, of Southington. (2009)
