Just in Time for Summer, The Beer Garden Opening in Stamford's South End

The Beer Garden @ Harbor Point—with tons of outdoor seating and entire walls made of towering glass doors that open up to encourage flow between the two spaces—is set to open this May, just in time for summer!

"We're hoping to be open the second week in May," said Courtney Dumais of Imian Hospitality. "We'll have live music with a big launch party."

The space is a project between Imian Hospitality and Building & Land Technology, the developing group behind most of the South End rehabilitation and the Bridgewater Associates mega headquarters currently in the works for the area.

"The Beer Garden @ Harbor Point is going to break new ground on the hospitality front in the South End," said Imian Hospitality partner Johnny Heil. "We are extremely excited to collaborate with BLT on creating this unique venue and look forward to sharing it with the local community and beyond."

The venue is being hailed as "Stamford's first water-front beer garden" and promises an excess of 300 seats spanning 6,000 square feet and two levels and includes a private bar room and outdoor terrace, fire pit and seating right along the water.

There will be shuttles available to The Beer Garden from the Stamford Transportation Center, water taxis for crossing the sound tributaries and slips available for those who wish to pull their own watercraft right up to the location.

Th eBeer Garden boasts a selection of 24 craft beers from Dogfish Head, Captain Lawrence and Curious Traveler to local brewers Thomas Hooker, Half Full and Two Roads from right in Connecticut. Mixologist Jason Clark will also be on-hand serving up "a collection of hand crafted American-centric cocktails," according to Dumais.

Currently, there are tentative plans in the works for turning the space into a restaurant, but that wouldn't occur until after summer, Dumais said. In the meantime, The Beer Garden is hoping to offer a unique alternative.

"There will be food trucks lined up here all summer," Dumais said. "It should a be a fun place to come and grab a beer. They'll constantly be rotating in and out, a constantly changing menu."

Vendors include Lobster Rolls & Crab Cakes from Lobstercraft, Wood Fired Farm to Table Pizzas from Skinny Pines, Sandwiches from Hot Off The Grill, Authentic Caribbean from Maddy’s and Gourmet Grilled Cheese from Melt Mobile.

Hours are currently scheduled for Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays from 4 p.m. until last call and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. until last call.
