This week, spend some quality time with the family while learning to fish, or playing a fun game of Bingo, then stop by the Library to watch a showing of the movie "Race to Nowhere."
FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK
Where/When: on April 1 from 6:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Why Go: This class will offer families a chance to learn how to fish together.
The CT DEP will provide certified CARE instructors to teach the class for adults & kids age 7 and up. *All teaching materials and fishing gear are provided.
Where/When: on March 30 at 7 p.m.
Why Go: This will be a special one night screening of the documentary "Race To Nowhere," which tells the stories of all those affected by todays challanges in the school system and trying to ensure the future of the youth.
Pricing: $10 in advance; $15 at the door
Where/When: on March 30 at 11:15 a.m.
Why Go: Kids ages 3 to 5 are invited to visit the third floor auditorium in the Library for this special preschool program with stories, music and movement using puppets, flannel boards and videos.
Pricing: FREE. Groups please call ahead to reserve a space.
Where/When: on April 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Why Go: This is a course for those age 11-15 who are looking to get the proper training and certification needed to be a great babysitter. Certificates issued upon completion of course.
Pricing: Members, $90 / Non-members, $100.
Where/When: on April 1 at 6 p.m.
Why Go: This wil be a fun night of family Bingo at Springdale School for all families kids, teens, friends and family (not limited to Springdale students) and will include cash prizes and door prizes.
