Fish Church CARNIVAL

Mayor Michael Pavia, State Representative William Tong, and Congressman Jim Himes will be among the celebrity guests kicking off the first-ever carnival at Stamford's Fish Church, June 14 to 17, 2012.

The Fish Church Carnival will feature rides, games, food, music, a White Elephant sale and a raffle with a grand prize of $10,000. The fun-filled event will be held on the church grounds on Bedford St., and is a fund raiser for the church. The First Presbyterian Church is sponsoring the carnival as a way of furthering its ministry and mission within the Stamford community and points beyond. A great benefit of the carnival is how it will allow the church to connect with the community, a diverse mix of ethnicities and religions. "The Fish Church" is the affectionate name for the First Presbyterian Church of Stamford, at 1101 Bedford Street, in Stamford, CT, known for its distinctive fish-shaped sanctuary.

The carnival begins June 14th and runs through the weekend, ending on June 17, 2012. The church grounds are an easy stroll from downtown Stamford on Bedford Street. Ample nearby parking in the Tully Center can be found by following the carnival parking signs at the church. Day by day hours of operation are: Thursday, June 14 from 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm; Friday, June 15 from 5:00 pm - 11:00 pm; Saturday, June 16 from 12:00 pm - 11:00 pm; and Sunday, June 17 from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
