Stamford's Latham Park, Pretty in Pink - and White!

If you're traveling around Stamford and things look just a little prettier today, you're probably noticing the fresh foliage popping up around town.

Marion Glowka, Streetscape Coordinator for the Stamford Downtown Special Services District, was of at Latham Park Thursday morning with Stamford Garden Club volunteers Lenore DiPalma and Sharon Larsen planting new flowers.

"It's the first planting of our summer annuals," Glowka said. "Everyone is so happy it's Spring and we've got this beautiful sunny, 80-degree day."

Glowka said the group would also be visiting Veteran's Park, Columbus Park and Kiwanis Park, among others. The organizations are responsible for beautifying 26 parks in total, Glowka said.
