New Schedule, Stamford Stop Added to New Haven Line

With all the weather issues going on Tuesday, if you're hoping to catch the New Haven Line train that departs from Grand Central at 6:27 p.m., you'll notice it's running a little late. It's not the snow causing issues. This is a new permanent change to the New Haven Line beginning on January 21, 2014. Also included along the line is a new stop in Stamford at 7:18 p.m.

Here's the announcement Metro North issued:

  • Starting Tuesaday, January 21, the 6:27 PM train departing Grand Central for New Haven will leave the Terminal 4 minutes later at 6:31 PM and will make an additional stop at Stamford station, arriving at 7:18 PM. After Stamford it will make all stops from East Norwalk to New Haven. Cars will be added to the train to accommodate additional customers.

This is a permanent change, but this change is NOT shown in the January 18th printed timetable. For detailed schedule times, please see our schedules page.
