Ever Considered a Singing Career? Now Could Be Your Chance

This may be the time for you to once and for all see if you could have made singing a career.

Auditions for Connecticut Icon 2013 will be held Sept. 21 in Southington during the 45th Annual Apple Harvest Festival, according to a CT Icon press release. 

The competition is about showing off local talent, though the winner receives $1,000 in cash and time at the Onyx Soundlab Recording Studio in Manchester with a chance that the recordings will be submitted to various record companies or given the opportunity to sing at different venues or restaurants.

Finalists, selected on the basis of audience voting and judges' input, will continue on in the competition during multiple days during the Apple Harvest Festival. The winner will be announced on the final day of the festival, according to the release.

All auditions will be a cappella and held between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
