Worship Under the Trees

The Church of Christ the Healer has taken its show outside for the summer. Every Sunday morning at 10 a.m., worship is held under the trees on its leafy grounds, including music, sermon, prayers and communion. “Some people prefer to worship God in nature… here you don’t have to choose between church and the trees, “says the Rev. Kate Heichler, Christ the Healer’s pastor. “We enjoy casual and creative worship outside. It’s fun and relaxed.”

A program for children is offered each week, and refreshments follow the service. Outdoor worship will continue through Labor Day weekend. – if it rains, the worship is inside.

Christ the Healer is located at 20 Brookdale Road, corner of High Ridge Road, in Stamford, 1.5 miles north of Exit 35 of the Merritt Parkway (and 3.5 miles south of the New York border on Route 137). For more information, call the church office at 322-6991 or check the website, www.christthehealerstamford.org
