Spa for the Spirit - Morning Retreat First Saturday each month

Spa for the Spirit is a monthly retreat morning to be held the first Saturday of each month on the peaceful grounds of Christ the Healer in North Stamford.. “Spa for the Spirit” offers participants a chance to get away for a few hours, to rest, recharge and be renewed. Each retreat morning will begin with breakfast at 8:30 and continue until 12:30 under the guidance of a leader, with time for silence, walking, writing, resting and reflection built in.

The first one, on January 7th, is entitled, “The Promise of a New Year:  Moving from Resolutions to Transformation.” Led by the Rev. Janet Waggoner, the retreat will be a meditative cycle of reflection and conversation, addressing three key questions:

¨Why we fail at keeping our resolutions

All are welcome, from any or no religious tradition. A suggested donation of $15-20 is asked, according to ability. Reservations are requested - please call 203-322-6991 or email office@christthehealerstamford.org to reserve.

“We’re just 1.5 miles north of the Merritt, but our setting is quiet and restorative,” says the church’s pastor, Kate Heichler. “I hope that during these retreats people will be refreshed, and get in touch with their creative instincts, with creation – and with the creator.”
