Holiday Food Drive @ the Bruce Museum

This holiday season, the Bruce Museum is collecting food donations – as well as cash contributions – for The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County.

 

  • In Connecticut, 1 out of every 5 children is hungry or at risk of hunger. School holidays and vacations are particularly stressful, because these children do not receive the Federal Free Breakfast and Lunch during that time.

  • More than 11% of Fairfield County’s population is food-insecure.

 

  • The Food Bank provides nutritious food to feed the hungry in Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford and Wilton . . . distributing more than 1 million pounds of food each year.
