YW Job Search Support Computer Classes: 1/8 Start
As individuals ring in the New Year, many will make the resolution of revamping their resume in order to find new employment. For those who need to brush-up on their computer skills, the YW’s Job Search Support program offers women computer classes focused on skills often required for employment such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. Classes begin January 8th and morning and evening classes are available.
The YW’s Job Search Support program provides guidance for women in all stages of the job search process. A free half hour consultation is offered for resume review or to discuss any aspect of the job search.The range of services offered by the YW’s Job Search Support for Women program includes:

- Computer classes : Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) with class exercises that provide practical applications to the workplace. Keyboarding for those needing to learn or improve typing skills.
- One-on-one resume writing assistance: Learn how to leverage past job or volunteer experience and translate it into experience that gets the right job
- Individual job search strategy/coaching: Learn how to negotiate the waters of the job search process, prepare for an interview, network with others in the field, search for jobs on the Internet.
