Volunteers Needed for 24-Hour Crisis Hotline

The Center for Sexual Assault Crisis Counseling and Education (“The Center”) is currently seeking volunteers for the fall Sexual Assault Crisis Advocate training session, which begins on Tuesday, October 8th at The Center’s new office located at 733 Summer Street in Stamford.  All training is free and will take place on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.  The Crisis Hotline Serves Darien, Greenwich, Norwalk, New Canaan, Stamford, Westport, Weston and Wilton.

The training program runs for approximately 8 weeks; at its conclusion the trained advocate will be certified to staff The Center’s 24-hour crisis hotline. A screening interview is the first step for all interested candidates.  All interested candidates should call Coral at The Center at 203-348-9346 to set up an appointment.
