Stamford Hospital Launches "It's Why" Campaign, Invites Stamford Patients to Share their Stories

Stamford Hospital has launched a new Facebook-based campaign inviting Stamford community members to share their stories about getting better, staying well, and being part of the Stamford Hospital community.

“It’s Why” is an interactive tab on the Hospital’s Facebook page that presents a collection of stories from members of the community. There are already stories posted about a woman’s breast cancer treatment, a mother’s experience with the Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and an athlete’s experience with the Orthopedic & Spine Institute.

Facebook users can access the “It’s Why” tab from the Hospital’s Facebook page and compose a brief story to share with other fans. Those who wish to share will be prompted to describe their experience in a 190-character post and complete the sentence, “It’s why…”and can post a photo to go along with their story. Submissions are sent directly to the Hospital and then posted to the page.
