The fifth annual Senior Services of Stamford Charity Golf Tournament was held on Thursday, May 22nd at Sterling Farms Golf Course in Stamford. The event was held in honor of Jevera and Bill Hennessey, two Stamford residents who exemplify commitment and leadership in the community. The tournament benefits Senior Services of Stamford in support of the many important programs and services they provide to Stamford seniors.
More than 100 golfers participated in the event, each knowing that their involvement would help Senior Services of Stamford to improve the quality of life for the community. “It’s wonderful what they do,” said golfer Bob Frederick. “It’s even more important because when you’re already a senior you understand the issues. There are so many that need help.”

Honorees Bill and Jevera Hennessey, whose accomplishments include serving with distinction on many community and civic organization boards, including Senior Services of Stamford, stated, “The fact that the Stamford community has this organization to look after those that need help, and have been doing it for 108 years, speaks volumes about this town and this community.”
