Moms: Get In Shape, Meet Other Moms, Fight Cancer!

Calling all Connecticut Moms!

“Moms In Training” is a new program that came to the Connecticut Team In Training (TNT) campaign in the fall of 2013 when 18 moms got together to raise $15,000 for blood cancer! This spring season is starting soon with the first practice on April 26th. “Moms In Training” is a flexible 9-week work-out program that will take place every Saturday morning at 9 am at various running trails and parks throughout Fairfield and Greenwich.

Participants will be training to run or walk the Fairfield Road Race 5K at Jennings Beach in Fairfield, CT on June 21, 2014.  Each participant will have a minimum fundraising commitment of only $500 with 100% of the proceeds going to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).

LLS uses this money to fund critical research in all blood cancer areas like Leukemia and Lymphoma and to provide support and advocacy.

LLS is on the threshold of amazing breakthroughs. The money raised through our fundraising campaigns accelerates miraculous new treatments and healing therapies once thought impossible. Cures today. Not someday. That’s the goal.
