Builders Beyond Borders Seeking High Student Applicants for the 2014-2015 Program Year

Applications are now available for high school students to participate in the Builders Beyond Borders (B3) program for the 2014-2015 program year. B3 builds “character, responsibility and leadership by engaging high school students in local and global community service.”

Builders Beyond Borders (B3) is a non-profit organization that engages high school students – representing more than 20 local high schools – in leadership training through local and global community service projects. B3 volunteers serve Fairfield County throughout the school year and travel to a Latin American or Caribbean country in the spring to build needed facilities for deserving communities. This past winter and spring, B3 volunteers traveled to five communities throughout the Dominican Republic to build sanitation facilities, a water system and a clinic.  B3 is a great opportunity to make a difference both in Fairfield County and abroad and connect with like-minded students from local schools. Applications are available on the B3 website at: www.buildersbeyondborders.org/application-student.

To learn more about the B3 program, please join us for a B3 Open House on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 6:30pm at the B3 office (66 Fort Point St., Norwalk, CT). During this event, you can see pictures and videos of what we do, speak to currently enrolled students and adult advisors, and meet the B3 staff. Please contact B3 if you plan to attend the open house at (203) 847-5220 or kmeyer@buildersbeyondborders.org.
