Greenwich—Steve Obsitnik, candidate for US Congress in Connecticut’s fourth District continued his listening tour of the district Tuesday, with a visit to downtown Greenwich with First Selectman Peter Tesei. First Selectman Tesei and Obsitnik spent the afternoon meeting with and listening to business owners and residents of the town.
Steve Obsitnik has been a technology industry entrepreneur and small business executive for more than 15 years. Mr. Obsitnik is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with honors. Prior to Annapolis, Mr. Obsitnik graduated from Stamford High School in 1985 where he was a captain of the varsity soccer team. After graduating from Annapolis, he served for five years in the U.S. Navy, primarily as a Lieutenant on board the U.S.S. Ray, a nuclear attack submarine. After completing his naval duty, Mr. Obsitnik attended The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Master’s in Business Administration with a degree in finance. He is also an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship at the Jack Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. Mr. Obsitnik lives in Westport with his wife Suzanne and their two daughters.
