World Affairs Forum, Fall Physician's Speakers Bureau, Business Disaster Recovery

Hey Stamford, it's predicted to be a sunny 71 degrees today. This evening, temperatures should drop to a clear 50 degrees, according to Weather.comTide charts show low tide hitting around 4:50 a.m. and 5:16 p.m. and high tide at around 10:52 a.m. and 11:17 p.m.

The Stamford Government Center has another host of meetings scheduled throughout Wednesday, including commissions, boards and organizations like the WPCA, the Shellfish Commission, the Traffic Advisory Committee, Parks & Rec and the Zoning Board of Appeals. 

The Ferguson Library has Step Ahead at the main branch and Toddler Time at the Harry Bennett branch scheduled for Wednesday, both at 11:15 a.m. Both are children's programs. Preparedness and Disaster Recovery for Business takes place at 11:30 a.m. at the main branch and The New Yorker discussion group takes place at 1 p.m. at the Harry Bennett branch. 

The Stamford Hospital and New Canaan YMCA will be presenting "How to Live to be 100" on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the New Canaan YMCA at 564 South Avenue. This free event is part of their Fall Physician's Speakers Bureau and will feature insight from a Stamford Hospital Cardiologist. Advanced registration is required as seating is limited. On Thursday at 1:15, the two organizations pair up again for "Take Control: Help for Women with Bladder & Pelvic Problems" with a Stamford Urogynecologist. Same restrictions apply

UCONN Stamford is hosting the World Affairs Forum on Wednesday. The program kicks off at 5:45 p.m. and features experts like Dr. Lani Kass, Senior Vice President, CACI International, Inc., and Shamila Chaudhary who is the Senior Advisor to Dean Vali Nasr at the School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University.
