The only way I would have ever gone to College is if I had a job guaranteed lined up for me when I was finished. Moreover, it is not what You know....but who you know that really counts and gets you places :) GLEN

No, it is what you know, how hard you work, and your ability to work well with others. Lack of any one of these will work in the short term but will not result in a successfull career, especially these days when information is so available and the incapable cannot hide.

I graduated Conn Coll, went to Trinity my jr year on 12-coll exchange, and my daughter attends Wesleyan. Big bucks then and now. I graduated into recession as will my kid. No guarantee of job, but a good education is priceless. All 3 are great, albeit expensive schools!

WES PRIDE. College tuition is way too hight, but I still think it's an incredible life experience if you can afford it. College isn't only about job training or resume building, it's about learning and broadening your mind. As someone who really enjoys education and studying, I think it's money well spent, at least in my case.

It is sad to see new grads saddled with debt amid grim job prospects. As parents we socked away every penny for 18 years to pay. So, no debt, but little savings left either.

College isn't important so much for the degree, which DOES open a few doors that would otherwise be closed, but it's a place where your society's most valuable knowledge is shared.

College is worth every penny.
