Eos Greek Cuisine Celebrates Three Years with Four Courses

Three years of delicious Greek cuisine ... and many more to come.

In the culinary world, some restaurants never make it to the three-year mark. One Stamford eatery is not only reaching this milestone, but was also recently voted “Best of the Gold Coast Connecticut 2011: Best Greek Restaurant” by the readers of Stamford Magazine.

, which has also been voted "Best New Restaurant" (Stamford Magazine - 2009) and "Best Greek Restaurant" by Fairfield Weekly three years in a row, will celebrate its three year anniversary next Tuesday by offering a $45 Four Course Prefix Menu.

The menu will consist of your choice of one each from selections of appetizer, soup or salad, entrée and dessert. Greek favorites, including mousaka cupcakes, arni kebab (chargrilled lamb), prassosoupa (potato and leek soup) and baklava sundaes will make an appearance on the menu, while entertainment in the form of live music and Greek dancing will help to keep the festivities flowing.

Reservations are strongly recommended for this special night of dining and Eos will be extending their outdoor patio to accommodate up 40 guests.

Eos is family owned and operated by Nikki and Jimmy Glekas and mother-in-law Dina Glekas Loukrezis. When asked what distinguishes Eos from other restaurants, co-owner Nikki Glekas doesn’t skip a beat.

“Our main focus was never to modernize the food,” she told Patch. “We wanted to keep it extremely authentic. We modernized the way the restaurant looked, but we wanted to prepare the dishes that were given to us to eat as children every day. This is the food we grew up on.”

The familial element plays very well with Eos as it truly is a family affair with relatives in the front-of-house as well as the kitchen. “We really do care about every customer,” Nikki said. “When I greet the customers with a kiss and a hug, that’s really nice. I like that.”

The popularity of Eos can be attributed to many things: the genuinely friendly service, the exquisite cuisine, the comfortable atmosphere, or a combination of everything. Eos selects locally sourced vegetables and produce, the fish is flown in fresh three times a week and the food is prepared with old world flair.

While we can’t expect to see an Eos II anytime soon, the restaurant does offer boutique catering and event planning services for corporate and private affairs.

With so much to offer the community, it is no wonder that Eos is still standing strong after three years in Stamford. Help celebrate this momentous occasion and dine on delectable fare at the same time. For more information visit www.eosgreekcuisine.com. Reservations 203-569-6250.
