The cold and extreme weather of the past week was causing a bit of a stir in the wildlife community, Stamford Animal Care & Control Shelter Director Laurie Hollywood said.

A raccoon was found trying to cozy up in a Bead St. apartment's mud room and Target called asking for help catching a sick raccoon hanging around stuck in their garage.

The Bead St. raccoon was located out on a porch after the outside access door to the mud room was left opened. The Target intruder appeared to have escaped from between the two walls he was hiding and scampered off on his own.
