Brad Pitt Calls Avon Theatre's No Refund Sign 'Great'

During an interview with EW, the actor laughed when he was told that the Stamford movie theater refused to issue refunds this past June to patrons that didn't like his movie "Tree of Life."

When asked by Entertainment Weekly what he thought about in June warning people that they couldn't receive refunds for not liking his movie "Tree of Life," actor Brad Pitt laughed, according to the Stamford Advocate.

According to the interview, which was published this week, Pitt replied: "They said that? I didn’t know that. That’s great."

After the sign went up on June 22, an audience member tweeted a photo of it and, by the weekend, it was all over the Internet.

“It was a small minority actually walking out, but it was substantial compared to most of our films,” Adam Birnbaum, director of film programming at Avon told Patch. “Most people who left, left politely, but we had a few irate customers who watched most of the movie and then demanded a refund, getting pretty antagonizing with the staff.”
