4 Buzz-worthy Businesses Coming to Harbor Point

This week, Patch Picks is here with a few of the most anticipated spots opening in Harbor Point in 2012.

 

If you haven’t ventured towards Stamford’s South End recently, you’re in for a surprise, and it's not just the Fairway Market anymore. The area has come alive with apartments, shops, and restaurants — and more are on the horizon. This week, Patch Picks is here with a few of the most anticipated spots opening in Harbor Point later this year.

Le Pain Quotidien

Opening May 2012 at 711 Canal Street

Founded in Belgium, the bakery already has established restaurants in Greenwich, New Canaan and Rye, New York. Le Pain Quoridien, which means “the daily bread,” will offer fresh baked organic breads, pastries, waffles and other treats. Need some help with the name, practice here.

Exhale Mind Body Studio

Opening February 2012 at 2200 Atlantic Street

The 9,000 square foot studio will feature a Core Fusion studio, yoga studio, Core Cycling studio, luxury gym, and boutique. Exhale Mind Body Studio has locations in Manhattan, Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, and Turks and Caicos. This will be their first Connecticut studio.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que

Opening Fall 2012 at 845 Canal Street

Considered by many to be some of the best barbeque in the country — Dinosaur Bar-B-Que’s repertoire was born at motorcycle shows and festivals throughout the Northeast and they have since opened up restaurant locations in Syracuse, Rochester, Harlem, and Troy, New York. Their fifth location will open in Newark, New Jersey and their sixth, right here in Harbor Point.

Harlan Social

Opening May 2012 at 121 Towne Street

Critically acclaimed New York chef Stephen Lewandowski will be opening his gastropub in the new Lockworks complex. Harlan Social will combine the neighborhood pub atmosphere with a menu of fresh, creative contemporary fare.
